Details about the giving program
Givesurance is a full service insurance brokerage network. We will review your coverage and needs and respond with a comprehensive quote, complete with details of your annual contributions.
We will match your unique needs with the Insurance companies andpolicies that will deliver the best coverage for the money. In addition we will send 40% of our profits to the charity of your choice and will create a giving annuity to maintain that support, year after year.
What is a Giving Annuity ?
Givesurance will donate 40% of our gross commission, renewable annually (as long as the policy is in force) to our client’s charity of choice. Our donation will not increase your premium!
Will I receive a tax benefit for the donation ?
No; source of funds comes from commission income generated by Givesurance, and paid by various Insurance Carriers (and not paid from client’s funds). Givesurance accounts for the charitable contribution as either a donation or expense – or combination of both.
Will my premium increase ?
If Givesurance already represents the carrier you are currently insured with, you will pay the same exact price through Givesurance. If Givesurance does not represent your current insurance company, we will shop your existing insurance from our large menu of carriers to offer you a more competitive premium with broader coverage – while still donating 40% of our gross commission to your charity.
Will I receive acknowledgement/recognition for the donation made on my behalf ?
Yes, upon writing your insurance policy a letter will be mailed to your designated charity on behalf of Givesurance and yourself (specifically mentioning yourself), along with a check for 20% of our gross commission.
When do you make the donation/payment to my charity ?
Once our client pays the annual premium in full, Givesurance will make a payment to the charity within 30 days.
Can I change my designated charity ?
Yes, you can request that Givesurance change your charity of choice once you policy comes up for renewal.
Can I split up my support to multiple charities?
Yes, you can break up your annual support contributions to multiple charities in increments of $200.
How do I change my policies from my existing broker?
There are 2 ways to convert over to Cause: The first and easiest way is to appoint Givesurance as your Broker of Record by signing a BofR letter. BofRs are only valid/necessary if Givesurance actively represents the carrier your are currently insured with. If you insurance carrier is NOT on the list of carriers Givesurance represents, then you will need to provide us with your policy Declaration’s Pages (top sheets) which show us the coverage that is customize
We send a percentage of our profits to the charity of your choice
...and we make the donation in your name
